Overview
AmendSignal, operated by Gaffney Enterprises, LLC ("AmendSignal," "we," "us"), publishes plain-language explanations of official government changes that affect employment, HR and payroll. This policy explains what we collect when you use amendsignal.com and related sites, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information. If you create an account, your name and email address. When you sign in with Google, we receive these from Google.
- Billing information, if you subscribe to a paid plan. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Messages you send us. When you use our contact form: your name, email address, organization (if you give it) and your message, together with the IP address and browser details it was sent from, which we use to prevent spam and abuse.
- Usage information. Our sites use Google Analytics to understand how they are used, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from the IP address.
- Standard server logs and device information collected automatically for security and reliability.
How We Use Information
- To provide, operate and secure our sites and your account.
- To authenticate you and send transactional messages, such as account notices.
- To process subscriptions and payments.
- To read and answer your messages.
- To understand which content is useful and to improve the service.
- To meet our legal obligations.
How Information Is Shared
We share information with service providers that help us operate, such as our hosting, email, analytics and payment providers, under agreements that limit their use of it. We share information when required by law or to protect our rights and users. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Cookies and Analytics
Google Analytics uses cookies to recognize a returning browser. We do not use Google Analytics advertising features or Google signals. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
When you sign in or use a form, we also use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect the form against forged submissions. It is not used for tracking.
Communications
Messages we send in connection with your account, such as account and service notices, are transactional and are not marketing. Where we offer optional updates, you can opt out at any time. Contacting us does not add you to a mailing list.
Your Choices
You can review and update your account information, and you can request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security or accounting purposes.
Data Security & Retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. We retain account information for as long as your account is active, and other information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Children
Our sites are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
